JunctionKit is an independent library of long-form guides and free calculators covering the financial lifecycle of a creator business — from validating a product idea, to running the day-to-day unit economics, to planning what happens when the business eventually ends.
The site is organized around eight phases: Create → Publish → Deliver → Earn → Profit → Protect → Invest → Exit. Every phase has its own guides and its own set of free tools. Nothing is locked behind a signup, and no page is written to sell you something you don't need.
Why this exists
Most content aimed at creators and online sellers focuses on the top line — "here's how to make money online," "here's how to get more sales." Very little of it explains how cash actually moves through a small creator business: where it enters, what eats into it, what's left, and what to do with what's left.
That gap matters. Decisions made without understanding the full cost stack — platform fees, shipping, returns, advertising, taxes — are the decisions that quietly end otherwise viable businesses. JunctionKit exists to close that gap. The guides are written to be read once and referred to often. The calculators exist so that the numbers in the guides can be run against your own situation, not just studied in the abstract.
Who writes this
JunctionKit is directed and maintained by Amresh Faldesai, an IT professional with over a decade of experience in enterprise systems and an MBA in Financial Management.
How the guides are written
Every guide on JunctionKit follows the same editorial standard:
- AI-assisted, human-directed. Guides are developed using AI-assisted workflows under editorial direction — a standard method at many modern publishers. Topic selection, analytical framework, and editorial standards are set by a human; AI is used to assist with research and drafting.
- Clear framing, no fluff. Each guide answers one specific question and states its assumptions upfront. No filler sections written to pad word count.
- Numbers are labeled. Every figure in a guide is either sourced, dated, or explicitly labeled as an illustrative example. Where fee structures vary by jurisdiction or account type, the guide says so.
- No hypothetical "winners." Guides that compare platforms or products state the conditions under which each option makes sense, not just a single answer. "It depends" is followed by what it depends on.
- Education, not advice. No guide recommends a specific financial product, security, insurance policy, or legal structure. Where a decision has significant legal or financial consequences, the guide tells you to consult a licensed professional in your jurisdiction.
- Corrections welcome. Platform fees and tax thresholds move roughly once a year. If you find a figure that's outdated or an explanation that's wrong, email us — corrections are usually made within a few days and the guide's updated date changes when they are.
How the calculators are built
The free calculators on JunctionKit are built with the same standard as the guides. Every tool:
- Shows its work — the fee breakdown is visible, not hidden behind a single number
- Labels assumptions and allows you to change them
- Is updated when the underlying fee structures change
- Runs entirely in your browser — no data is sent to a server
If you find a calculator that produces a number you believe is wrong, email the address below with the inputs and the expected result. Corrections are usually made within a few days.
The eight phases
Every creator business moves through the same eight phases, in the same order. JunctionKit is organized to match:
- Create — Finding what's worth building, before you spend on inventory.
- Publish — Where you place the product, and how that decides what you keep.
- Deliver — Shipping, packing, returns — the operational layer that decides whether you profit.
- Earn — Income from ads, sponsors, affiliates, digital products, and clients.
- Profit — What's left after fees, cost of goods, refunds, and ad spend.
- Protect — Buffer, insurance, and reserved tax — the phase most creators skip.
- Invest — Putting the money to work in markets, retirement accounts, or the next build.
- Exit — Realizing the value you built, whether by selling, transitioning, or closing.
Who this is for
- E-commerce sellers on Etsy, Shopify, Amazon, eBay, Poshmark, and TikTok Shop
- Digital product creators and print-on-demand sellers
- Content creators building multiple income streams
- Anyone who wants clear numbers before making a decision — not marketing language
