Domestic goods, F&F, international, micropayments — plus “I want to receive $X”.
Updated October 2026 · Commercial rates vary by country and merchant tier
PayPal charges differently for goods & services, international payments, and some micropayment programs. This tool models common commercial patterns so you can see the fee on a payment and reverse-calculate what to invoice if you need a target net amount.
On a $100 domestic goods payment at a simplified 2.99% + $0.49 style rate, fees are a few dollars and you receive the remainder. International and FX can erase more. Always confirm the live rate in your PayPal account for your country and product.
On eBay Managed Payments and many marketplaces, the platform’s checkout stack may replace classic “PayPal as the fee.” Use the eBay calculator for listing-side fees and this page when PayPal is the actual processor on your invoice or site.
US commercial rates often look like a percentage plus a fixed cents fee (and different rates for international or micropayments). Enter the amount in the PayPal fee calculator for an estimate.
Use reverse mode: enter the net you want to receive and the tool estimates the gross invoice amount before PayPal’s percentage and fixed fee.
Not anymore for most US eBay sales under Managed Payments. eBay and PayPal fee stacks differ — use the eBay and PayPal calculators separately.
If a client or wholesale buyer needs you to “clear” a net amount, reverse mode estimates the gross you must request so that after PayPal’s percentage and fixed fee you land near the target. Always add a small buffer for rate differences and currency conversion when the payer is abroad.
Commercial payments include dispute risk. Fee calculators do not model chargeback fees or frozen funds. Keep records, ship with tracking, and use goods & services—not Friends & Family—for business sales.
